Ribbed Hat
Crochet Ribbed Hat (Newborn)
Gauge:
3 sc by 3 rows = a 1-inch square
Size "H" crochet hook
Materials:
1 oz. Worsted weight yarn
Ch 21
Row 1: Crochet in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across Ch1, turn.
Row 2: Working in back loops only, sc in each st across. Ch 1, turn.
Repeat row 2 until piece measures 11 inches (36 rows). Ch 1, turn. Sl st last row and 1st row together. Fasten off, leaving 10 inches of yarn to gather top of hat.
Thread the yarn through a darning needles and weave through the row ends along the hat to. Gather tightly and tie securely. Make a pom pom for the top. Roll up the bottom edge as a cuff.
