Can I donate fabric? Yes! We can use many types of fabric to make items included in our bundle. See our In-Kind Donations page for more details. What types and colors of yarn can I donate? We need washable yarn such as acrylic, cotton, or blends. The most commonly used yarn is 4 ply, also known as worsted weight, or baby yarn. Soft bulky yarns are also used and work up quickly for blankets. We can use yarn in any color. Please avoid fuzzy or angora type yarn as these fibers may shed causing irritants to the babies. Can I donate other baby items such as strollers, ExerSaucers, Pack’n’Plays, cribs, infant and car seats? We can not accept these items at this time. If you have items such as these that you would like to donate, please consider another nonprofit organization that assists children in our community. Does your organization accept baby wipes, wash or diapers? Yes! We try to put these items in every bundle. Do you accept store purchased items for the bundles? Yes, we gladly accept the following NEW clothing and baby essentials: 0-3 month short or long sleeved onesies 0-3 month jacket/pants 0-3 month sleepers/gowns Infant toys such as rattles or teethers Baby blankets Infant hats Socks Bibs Burp cloths Crib sheets Diapers Baby wipes Baby wash Can I donate my old sewing machine? We often have a need for portable sergers and sewing machines that are in good working order. Unfortunately we do not have space for machines built into cabinets. Please contact us to see if your donation would meet our current needs. I’m ready to donate! How can I get my items to Bundles of Love Charity? We have a number of drop-off locations. Our Locations page provides a complete listing of locations and scheduled meeting times. Please contact a work group leader if you are not able to make a currently scheduled location time.

Can I donate money to your organization? Yes! We gladly accept any monetary donations. Checks can be made out to Bundles of Love Charity and mailed to PO Box 240301 Apple Valley, MN 55124. Donations can also be made via Paypal and GiveMN. Links to these can be found on our Monetary Donations page. Can I donate money through my Employer? Yes! We are a qualified 501(c)(3) organization. Many employers hold annual giving campaigns. If your employer allows designated donations to your favorite charity, check to see if we are on the list. If not, contact your program administrator and ask how to add us as a qualified organization. Another way employers contribute is via Dollars for Doers in which they make a monetary donation in recognition of your volunteer service, or matching funds.

I don’t know how to sew or knit. Can I still volunteer? Yes! We are always in need of volunteers to help assemble bundles, deliver bundles to our partners, and work at our work locations or from home. Please check out our Get Involved page for more information. Can my colleagues volunteer as a group for Bundles of Love charity? Yes! Contact the work group nearest you to ask about opportunities to volunteer as a group at our sites or at your workplace. Also, please check with your employer to see if they have other opportunities such as paid time off to volunteer. Can children volunteer? Yes! We have many youth volunteers. Age appropriate activities can be provided for youth of many ages. If you have a group such as Girl Scouts or a 4-H club please contact the group leader nearest you to schedule an event. We also recommend bringing at least one adult for every five children, depending on age. Details can be discussed with the group leader scheduling your event. I am not able to attend the scheduled volunteer meetings. Can I volunteer at home? Yes! Many of our volunteers volunteer from home. Please contact the group leader nearest you. If possible, we highly recommend a visit to a location near you to learn our process and find out what is needed most.

Who receives the donations of baby clothing and essentials? Bundles of Love Charity relies on our community partners to get our bundles into the hands of those who need them most. These partners identify who receives a bundle based on their criteria to determine a family in need. How can my organization partner with Bundles of Love Charity? Bundles of Love Charity welcomes the opportunity to partner with companies and/or nonprofits in Minnesota. Please fill out and submit our Contact Us form and we will be in touch. What are your sizing guidelines? Our handmade items are sized for newborn babies. The guidelines can be found at https://bundlesoflove.org/sizing-and-guidelines. Do you have patterns available?
